This exposure was guessed as I had no idea how light it was outside, being sat inside and all. Turned out perfect.

I was eating dinner with my (rather newly acquired) girlfriend, wasting some time before we went to see Derren Brown live.

He's fucking amazing live, by the way - if any of you ever get a chance to see the bastard do his stuff, it's worth every fucking penny.

I was searching for a frame that day. I was feeling it, somewhere. There was something in the air. That moment of the chase, a tiny hint of adrenaline.

When he first came out, I didn't pay much attention.

He was a fucking shifty bastard though. Don't think what he was smoking was entirely 'kosher'.

There's something about film. That little bit of grain. It's nice.

And there's something about a Leica too. Heavy and solid. Reliable. I decided to forgo the shade.

Waited.

I wanted, originally, to catch him lighting up. Or taking a drag. But he did it in the most pussy way. Didn't fit.

But at some point, something happened. Something changed, and I let the shutter fly. A small thwap. Done.
